What does it mean to be a blasphemer? Have you ever thought…

In Mark 3:28-29 Jesus said, “Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation”—

So many people have read these verses and have become frightened, wondering…have I blasphemed against the Holy Spirit? Am I beyond the forgiveness of God? Well my friend I have good news for you and bad news for you.

The Good News: “Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; …

This is the greatest news for all mankind. We can and will be forgiven of every sin if we believe in and follow Jesus Christ. I don’t know about you but I am a sinner in need of forgiveness every day. This is the grace of God for all of us.

The Bad News: …but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation”—

What does this mean? In Mark 3:22 the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebub,” and, “By the ruler of the demons He casts out demons.” They were saying that Jesus was being controlled by demonic, satanic entities. They did not recognize that He was being controlled and led by the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity. In saying this they were rejecting Jesus as the Messiah or Annointed one, Son of the Living God sent to save them from their sins. And at the same moment they were rejecting the testimony of the Holy Spirit.

The truth is, anyone who does not sincerely believe in and follow Jesus as their Lord and Savior is rejecting Jesus Christ and thereby blaspheming the Holy Spirit whose primary ministry on earth is to testify about who Jesus really is and why He has come. John 15:26 – “But when the Helper (Holy Spirit) comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me….”

An example would be this. Let’s say I go out into the street and talk with some people. I say to them, Jesus is the Son of God, sent from God to save you and me from our sins. He is God, born of a virgin and became human with flesh and blood like you and me. He is now 100% God and 100% human. He became human so He could sacrifice His body on the cross over 2000 years ago to pay for our sins. He gave His life, was crucified, died, was buried in a tomb and rose from the dead on the third day. He is now in heaven preparing a place for all His followers. Do you believe what I am telling you right now?

The people answer, it’s a nice story, but that is all it is. It is an old fable dreamed up by men who want to contol everyone else through religion.

I respond, do you realize that you are blaspheming against the Holy Spirit right now. If you continue in your rejection of Jesus Christ as God, Lord and your Savior you can never be forgiven of your sins. The final result for you will be an eternity in the lake of fire.

I have shared this exact message in many countries and in many languages and many have received Jesus Christ as God, Lord and Savior. Those who did, now have eternal life. But for many, the response was the same as in the example I gave above. Those who rejected Jesus Christ as God, Lord and Savior are the same as those who blaspheme against the Holy Spirit.

My friend, please tell everyone you come in contact with the truth about themselves and Jesus Christ. Plead with them saying, do not reject Jesus Christ. Beleive, repent and call out to Him today. He loves you and will save you and give you eternal life. Share the GOOD NEWS and the BAD NEWS with them. Their eternity depends on it.

Romans 10:8-13

But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”

God loves you my friend. Believe, repent and call on Jesus today. He will answer and save you.
